My dad would take me to Schnakenberg’s farm pond on Sunday mornings before church. We’d stop by the bait shop for worms, some tackle, and dad would always let me get a soda and a candy bar. I would pay a lot of money to be able to go out there with dad one more time.

It’s in my blood. My Grandpa Himmelberg taught me the art of the marathon fishing day. We would leave at first light, and fish on Table Rock or Truman for 8 or 9 hours. That’s when I was 10 years old! Man did we catch the fish trolling a secret crank bait behind his old trusty bass boat.

Yes – I love to fish too. How do I have the time you ask? You have to plan and prioritize every day.

I tell people that I would fish in a mud puddle if I think there’s fish to be caught.

I still love to fish farm ponds, Truman lake, and enjoy fly fishing in Missouri and Arkansas.

I can get you gear as most of my distributors carry guns and fishing gear.

I can teach you how to cast a fly rod.

I can even tie you some custom flies or teach you how to do it.

I offer guide services for fly-fishing. I’ll take you to one of the Missouri streams and teach you the basics and can get you catching trout on the fly.

If you want to talk fishing, need to know a good taxidermist, have a fish story, need some gear, or have a farm pond that you need me to try (yes please), give me a call or send me an e-mail.
