several times over the last month I’ve had guys ask me “can you get me a glock 19? Or an HK Pistol? Or a home defense shotgun?” the answer is no – I can’t. I’ve told this story a few times to my customers – I did a search on two of my largest suppliers web sites. I ran a query  for pistols, 9mm. It comes back with 1874 different models of pistols in 9mm that are listed in their online catalog. Ok, so then theres a button for “show only products in stock”. Pushed the button -only four 9mm pistols in stock. FOUR! out of 1874 models that are normally available.

since COVID and the riots (protests) gun sales are up 140% from this time last year.

From my statistics class in college…I think it means for every one gun sold last year at this time, there have been 140 sold now.

Is that right? It sounds good to me. Regardless if my statistics knowledge is true or not – that’s a big increase.

I’ve heard also that 40% of that is first time gun owners. Hmmm…

I was looking at an online supplier – they were shipping out over 3000 guns per day to dealers. 3000 per day!

SO – we went from everybody has what they need – not much demand for guns over the last 3 1/2  years (read that as sales were slow) to VERY HIGH DEMAND for whatever I can get my hands on but it’s not available. UGH!
